Our Story
Staying In Place was founded by brothers Roger and Mike Maddox, inspired by a deeply personal journey. When their mother needed care, they faced the challenge of juggling full-time jobs, their own families, and household responsibilities. The demands of caregiving often left them stretched thin, making it difficult to provide the level of care they wanted for their mom.
They also wanted their time with her to include more quality time — not visits overshadowed by errands, chores, and the constant pressures of caregiving.
Everything changed when a compassionate caregiver stepped in and made all the difference. With the caregiver’s support, Roger and Mike were able to focus on what truly mattered: enjoying precious moments with their mother.
Deeply moved by the comfort and relief this care brought to their family, Roger and Mike saw an opportunity to bring that same transformative experience to others.
Their vision was simple yet powerful: to empower seniors to age gracefully and independently in the comfort of their own homes while providing families with peace of mind. This vision became the foundation of Staying In Place’s mission.
